Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.

Dr Ng graduated from National University of Singapore in 1986 when the dental faculty was in an old dental clinic in SGH and classes were held in the College of Medicine building. She started from scratch serving in government dental clinics. After a few years in other private clinics, she acquired United Dental surgery in Yishun. For 30 years she has dedicated her efforts to improving the oral health of her patients by restoring function and improving their smiles.

Since 2017,United Dental Surgery has been rejuvenated by a team of young enthusiastic dentists helmed by Dr Keith Leong who has brought the practice to a new level, offering a wide range of quality services to our patients.
Moving forward, Dr Ng will continue to offer her best to her patients, that has spanned 3 generations, but yet allowing time for enriching pursuits like reading and travelling.

Dr Chua Shi Rui obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Dental Science degree with Honors in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Her extensive knowledge and experience in General Dentistry has helped her in treating a wide variety of patients across Singapore through the years. She is a clinician dedicated to providing only the highest quality care to her patients.

From routine dental exams and cleanings to complex restorative procedures, Dr Chua has gained significant knowledge in the full range of dental procedures with the guidance of specialists in all disciplines of dentistry. She has interests in Cosmetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Through advanced training programs and mentorships, she honed her skills in smile makeovers, teeth whitening, veneers, wisdom teeth surgeries and implant placement procedures.

Known for her gentle and caring approach, Dr Chua strives to create a comfortable and anxiety-free dental experience. Our patients often commend her gentle touch and empathetic approach. She takes the time to listen to patients’ concerns, educate them about their oral health, and develop customized treatment plans that meet their unique needs. She is well-versed in English, Mandarin and Malay.

Outside of work, Dr Chua enjoys traveling and going for hikes in nature parks.
Dr Chua is fully registered with Singapore Dental Council. She is also a member of the College of General Dental Practitioners and Aesthetic Dentistry Society Singapore. She actively participates in dental conferences and workshops to ensure the best possible care for their patients.

Dr Jolynn received her degree from King’s College London, where she was honoured with the Academy of Operative Dentistry Award for her exceptional achievements in clinical dentistry.

She is well-known for her warm, patient and cheerful demeanour, prioritizing patient comfort and satisfaction. As a multilingual dental surgeon, fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Malay, she is able to communicate effectively with her patients and address their concerns with great care.

Dr Jolynn is a dedicated and passionate professional who strongly believes in lifelong learning, constantly staying up-to-date with modern dentistry advancements. Although she enjoys the diversity of general dentistry, she has a keen interest in endodontics, orthodontics, and aesthetic dentistry. Dr Jolynn is an accredited Invisalign provider, and she is currently receiving further training in orthodontics.

When she’s not practicing dentistry, she enjoys pursuing her passion for digital illustration and exploring new culinary experiences.

Irene graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic with the “Dental Hygiene and Therapy” certification.

During her several years in this profession, she has worked in the government sector before joining the private sector. Her rich experiences over the years have allowed her to grow in her skills and passion to deliver quality services to her patients and develop professional relationships with them.

Irene is people-oriented and feels that communication is the key to building good rapport with her patients. Irene has been a great support to our dentists in providing scaling and polishing and root planning treatments to patients.
As a trained Oral Health Therapist, she also provides a range of care to minors and children including fillings and extraction of baby teeth. She advocates the need to educate and raise awareness among patients on the importance of dental care and giving tailored instructions to help patients maintain good oral health.

She strives to make her patients feel assured and comfortable and to end every session with a smile. Irene also maintains a good work-life balance by pursuing her interests in baking, singing and hiking during her free time.
